Description

A tour of the Casa Natal includes the recreation of a 19th century room and a series of rooms that showcase various original objects, family memories and pieces by the painter from Malaga, which document the family, social and cultural ties of Pablo Picasso with the Land where he was born.

ROOMS OF THE CASA NATAL MUSEUM

XIX century
At the end of the nineteenth century, the room was intended for the reception of visits, hence the best decorated and larger room. This room is a recreation of the main hall of the house of Ruiz Picasso. The rest of the room is dedicated to remembering the workshop that José Ruiz had at home.

Picasso's parents
It shows personal memories of José Ruiz Blasco and María Picasso López, as an introduction to Picasso's family environment.

Picasso's family
It recreates the connection of Picasso with his childhood, with his family, his origins, his land.

Picasso's Malaga
The Malaga in which Picasso was born and spent his childhood is reflected in photographs, postcards and elements of everyday life of the nineteenth century

Malaga's origins and Picasso's Spanish are manifested in his life and his artistic work. His condition of Spanish from the south also impregnates of decisive way his writings, loaded with images, flavors and sensations of his childhood in Malaga.

-The works of art are fragile and can be damaged to a minimum rubbing, so please do not touch them.
-No access to the building with food or drinks.
-It will not be allowed to take photos or videos inside the building, without authorization.
-In the interior of the building smoking is not allowed in accordance with Law 28/2005 article 7.j), of December 26.
-No animals are allowed, except for guide dogs.
-If you come to the Museum with children, make sure they are always with you. Help us explain the importance of not touching objects. Do not let them run around the rooms as they could annoy other visitors.
-It will not be accessible with large packages, they will have to be kept in lockers enabled for this purpose.
-It is not allowed the entrance of sharp objects or similar that can cause damage to the works of art exposed.
-The Foundation Casa Natal Museum is adapted for people with movement difficulties. The obstacles presented by the building are due to its historical character. If you need them, the staff is at your disposal to help you to travel there
